Flips and Such
I don’t ever know what to do with the flips/ remixes I make, so I figured I’d post some here! Click the song title for a free download. I do not own the rights to these songs.
Charli XCX - Party 4 U (CWEA Flip) —Don’t act like you didn’t have a Brat summer
Griselda - DR BIRDS (CWEA Flip) —BoomBoomBoomBoooooooooooooom!
Swamp Dogg - Sleeping Without U is a Dragg (CWEA Flip) —When I lived in San Diego, I had the opportunity to go up to L.A. to a screening of Swamp Dogg Gets his Pool Painted at Vidiot’s Theatre. The man is a legend, and if you haven’t heard of him, go listen to his stuff before you listen to this. Rat On!
LCD Soundsystem - Daft Punk is Playing at my House (CWEA Flip) —You’ve got to set them up, kid.
The Rolling Stones - Sympathy for the Devil (CWEA Flip) — “For me, that's the best remix that has ever been made from a track.” - Gianluca Mathesohn (While I cannot agree, this is the nicest comment I've ever gotten on a track.)
Daft Punk - Technologic (CWEA Remix) —I found the stems for this song from an old remix contest, that I was about 15 years too late for.
Black Sabbath - Fairies Wear Boots (CWEA Flip) — This ones kinda trash alone, but fun to double
Labi Siffre - Bless the Telephone ( CWEA Remix) —Symbolic to me, because most of my friends and I make music through the phone
Knucks - Leon the Professional (CWEA Flip) — I made this track as a parody to Rumble by Skrillex, so the song name is “Rattle” if you download it.
MadeinTYO - Uber Everywhere (CWEA Flip) — This song shaped my whole generation
Jack Back vs Cevin Fisher - 2000 Freaks Come Out (CWEA Flip) — Owning a nightclub in GTA V exposed me to this song and I’m always stoked when it comes on. Of course I had to flip it.
Stardust - Music Sounds Better With You (CWEA Flip) —Another GTA V classic
Modjo - Lady (Hear Me Tonight) (CWEA Flip)—And yet another GTA V song, at this point I realized I am very into old house music.
CWEA - What’s the Trouble, Mac? — This one I sampled Sour Times by Portishead, and then reversed the lead from Shooting Stars by Bag Raiders and turned it’s transients into a 1/16 note arp. I have no idea what copyright hell would await me if I tried to release this anywhere, so here. Fun fact: Sour Times actually samples Danube Incident by Lalo Schifrin!
